Healthy New You Meal Planning

I've been focused on healthy eating for the past couple of months. Because of some back problems I've had it's forced me to rethink how food affects my health. After just 6 weeks of #thewhole30 eating my body is so happy to be alive and the pain is 90% gone👌🏼. Consciously eating healthy takes some effort so for me creating a meal prep plan has been invaluable. Here is how I get it done each week.

  1. Research 1 or 2 new recipes a week to try and keep it fresh. I love Stupid Easy Paleo and Be Well By Kelly. The key is cooking simply because honestly who has the time for anything that takes more than 30 minutes each night?

2. @evernote is my go-to for creating a weekly meal plan for Sunday through Thursday.  If you haven't tried Evernote they have a free version that is a great way to test it out. I use this app to keep almost everything in my life organized.

3. Then I create my grocery list based on what I already have and what I am planning to cook for that week, also in @evernote.

4. Prep is key. I spend 1-2 hours on Sunday chopping veggies, boiling eggs, prepping fruit for daily snacks.

I know this isn’t for everyone but If you're feeling like you need to change things up, I dare you to try something new. If you’re interested I would recommend checking out The Whole30 and start there.

What are your food challenges right now? Please leave a comment below; I’d love to hear from you.

Ciao for now,
